MVD Free Airport was Present in 2018’s FlyPharma Conference, which took place this past June in Brussels, Belgium.
Bruno Guella, Managing Director at MVD Free Airport mentioned, “It is key as a global pharma community to support these events in order to share challenges, insights and best practices that enhance the quality of the global distribution of pharmaceutical products”.
Throughout the conference Guella mentioned that these events are excellent platforms for the development of tangible solutions that tackle key issues around the globe, providing a concrete example regarding the connectivity concerns from Europe to South America. “We’ve been developing alongside our partners a dedicated, GDP compliant pharma route from Europe to the main markets in South America. In the next few weeks we are planning to formally communicate the carrier and plane that will be providing enhanced connectivity to MVD, for a customized last mile to Brazil, Argentina and the rest of the countries in the region.”
He added that “changing the distribution landscape in an emerging region is not an easy task, yet by working jointly alongside our partners, forwarders and shippers towards building this solution to tackle a common issue is a very rewarding experience. We have the ability to truly make a difference and change the status quo, it’s a matter of taking initiative and not losing sight of what’s best for the patient”.
MVD Free Airport has recently received IATA’s CEIV Pharma Certification, being the second terminal in South America to do so. It is currently working in the executive project of Phase 2 of its pharma-dedicated warehouse of its regional distribution center.
MVD Free Airport is a business unit of Corporación America, the largest airport operator in the world with a network of over 50 airports across 3 continents.
